Education

One of the strengths of Faith Lutheran is that we are committed to building intergenerational relationships as we practice faith together. While we do have some separate activities for children, youth and adults, we also learn together across generations.

This school year we are using Faith5 as our primary tool for building faith and relationships. As often as we gather for Sunday School, Youth Group, Bible Study and Fellowship, we share our highs and lows, read scripture and talk about it, pray for each other, and leave each other with a blessing.

Children birth to 5th Grade

We know that kids begin building faith as soon as they are born and need lots of loving adults to help them do that. We offer dedicated space in our sanctuary for young families, with a variety of tools to help kids participate in worship, including worship leadership roles. After worship each week, we gather for 30 minutes as full families with other adults to practice Faith5 and do an activity designed to learn about Jesus and each other.

We also have at least four fun events each year to bring families together outside of worship.

Youth Activities: 6th-12th grade

We also use Faith5 for our older youth, but focus more on fellowship, study and service. As often as possible, our youth activities are on the second Sunday of the month in the afternoon or early evening. Youth are also invited into leadership roles in worship, and in leading pieces of our congregational events like the pop-up Christmas pageant, our Reformation Festival, and our Easter Egg Hunt.

Adult Education

We have several small groups for adults to continue learning about their faith as well, including Lydia Circle (a bible study for women), Tuesday bible studies (for all, morning and evening options), and Friendship Tables (small groups for relationship building). Our adults also deepen their faith through leadership in worship, board and committees, and church council.
