A prayer for our Muslim brothers and sisters

God of all humanity, in the face of such hatred as demonstrated in the horrific shootings in New Zealand, I hope that you show up. I hope that you show up in the lives of families that are scared to go out. I hope that you are present with the brokenhearted friends and families grieving the death of loved ones. I hope that your loves becomes evident through people of all faiths or beliefs working together in harmony. I hope that there will one day be a time without the news of senseless killing. I hope that your mission of redemption and reconciliation is taken up by your children before it is too late.

Amen.

  • This Lent, we are focusing as a church on how to create an Atmosphere Thick with Love in our worship, our homes, and in our community as we study the book of Ephesians. Here is prayer from Ephesians 1:17-19... God of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, Father of Glory: I call out to You on behalf of Your people. Give them minds ready to receive wisdom and revelation so they will truly know You. Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in . Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance. Let them see the full extent of Your power that is at work in those of us who believe, and may it be done according to Your might and power. AMEN
  • Spirit of Wisdom, This Saturday, leaders of the church will be gathering to discern how we can continue to help this community grow into a thriving representation of your kingdom here in Janesville, WI. May you guide our thoughts, inspire our dreams, and bring us ever closer to you. AMEN
